The Role

The ADTS Engineer is responsible for optimizing customer processes and conditions while providing education to external customers on how to run ColorMatrix materials. The ADTS Engineer will troubleshoot issues raised by the customer and is accountable for and/or participates in the resolution of customer complaints. The ADTS Engineer is responsible for developing a new application or product launch testing plan and procedure, data analysis, and communication of results. To operate at an advanced level the engineer will have several years’ direct, relevant experience with the ability to operate with little to no direction. #LI-CG1

  • Trial plan creation and subsequent successful trial on customer’s site and recording relevant associated data.
  • Management of equipment on customers site including upkeep recommendations of use and initiation of removal if being misused (e.g. with competitor product).
  • Return of equipment after trial period or outside of contracted period.


  • Participate in development of new applications, new equipment, product launch testing plan, data analysis, and/or communication of results.

  • Develop technical specifications required for established ColorMatrix customers.

  • Documentation and preparation of product specifications incorporating PolyOne products and services into customer applications.

  • Participates in resolution of customer complaints/issues.

  • Management of allocated customers within the 'cell' including organising samples, equipment items & new product development work, etc.

  • Efficient planning of travel.
  • Attendance at weekly 'cell' meeting and implementation of subsequent actions (with feedback loop to the 'cell').

  • First point of contract for customer quality issues and recommendations on the next steps to the 'cell'.

  • Train and sign off customers in using ColorMatrix equipment and support RAM in improving knowledge.

  • Demonstrating ColorMatrix values on-site with customers.

  • Continuous learning of product knowledge and liquid systems.

  • Education of customers on ColorMatrix products and their benefits.

  • Completion of TS reports with customer sign off and use of SFDC.


Competencies, Qualification & Experience Required


Qualification & Experience Required

  • Full City & Guilds Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, preferably a Batchelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline.

  • Previous experience or working within the Chemical/Plastics or Food Manufacturing industries, preferably in a Technical or R&D role

  • Good Communication skills
