Job Summary

Avient is seeking a dynamic and motivated Director, Treasury Operations who will help shape and lead the future state of our treasury function.  In this role, you will lead our cash forecasting, optimize the movement of monies between regions and drive automation and enhancements in our treasury systems.  You will be responsible for executing global treasury activities including banking operations, systems, financing, and investing.  In collaboration with the treasury team, you will partner across the organization to develop and implement new processes, systems and reporting functions, including the implementation of a global treasury management system and expanding the company’s existing cash pool to include operations of recently acquired businesses. You will have opportunities to lead, influence and grow outward and upward within our Treasury function. 

Essential Functions

·       Responsible for managing the treasury and banking activities of the global organization.

·       Responsible for managing all aspects of cash flows and liquidity, including inter-company funding and repatriation strategies.

·       Manage net interest expense by actively working with investment banks to achieve lowest possible debt interest rate and negotiating optimal interest income on global excess cash.

·       Assure compliance with all terms and covenants of lenders or other capital suppliers, including reporting requirements.

·       Keeps current with market trends and demands. Identify, monitor and satisfy the bank service needs of the company and operating subsidiaries, including familiarity with new and emerging banking products.

·       Monitor the performance of the Company’s key treasury service providers including banking partners, work station providers, data services providers.

·       Supports execution of capital structure strategy.

·       Lead FIS Quantum Treasury Management System implementation to optimize efficiencies.

·       Manage the company’s FX hedging program.

·       Identifies areas for improvement and lead strategic planning for the global treasury function.

·       Ensure SOX compliant business processes. Assist with other activities such as Internal & External Audit requests, creating & updating department policies and procedures, support new business expansion.

·       Supervise and grow global treasury operation teams to execute treasury strategies and achieve objectives.

·       Oversee Corporate Insurance function by collaborating with external risk manager, brokers, and internal teams such as legal, operations, corporate accounting.

·       Other projects/duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience

·       Bachelors in Business, Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience.

·       10+ years’ experience in a corporate treasury function with domestic and international operations

·       Experience moving cash between countries to maximize cash positions where needed.

·       Experience implementing Treasury Management Systems (i.e. Kyriba, FIS Quantum/TRAX, etc.)

·       Knowledge of treasury operations, risk management, banking industries and payment networks

·       Executive supervisory experience leading teams and projects. Strong presence with the ability to enroll and influence others at various levels

·       Must be highly organized, detail oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.

·       Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with internal and external parties
