QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience

·       Bachelors of Science or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.

·       7+ years of experience in IT field, especially networking or enterprise computing

·       3+ years of experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (e.g., IS027001, COBIT, NIST, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)

·       5+ years of experience in information security

·       Experience in project management

 

Additional Qualifications

·       Preferred but not required: Security certification such as CISM, CISSP, GSEC, CISA

 

 

·       Knowledge, skills and abilities

    • Working knowledge of existing and emerging tools and technologies relevant to Information and Security Systems, Networks and Data Security.
    • Ability to interface with, and gain the respect of, stakeholders at all levels and roles within Avient.
    • Ability to react quickly, decisively and deliberately in high-stress, high-impact situations.
    • Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative risks and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one.
    • Ability to effectively influence others to modify their opinions, plans or behaviors.
    • An understanding of business needs and commitment to delivering high-quality, prompt and efficient service to the business.
    • Strong leadership skills.
    • Proven experience in coaching and developing team members.
    • Strong process orientation.

    • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.
    • Negotiating and administrative skills for contract and vendor management.

o   Experience managing budget and vendors.

Scope

·       This position is global in scope.

·       This position requires 24/7 availability, including use of a cell phone off hours support and weekend on-call status, when necessary.

·       This position may require travel (10%).
