We are looking to strengthen our Finance department in Istanbul, Turkey with a:
Finance and Accounting Specialist, Finance m/f
Location: Hadımköy, Istanbul, Turkey
Reporting to the Finance & Accounting Manager in Turkey, you will partner with other departments to support Finance and Accounting tasks within the department within guidelines set by the business. This person will be responsible for the month-end close process, reconciliation reporting, variance analysis, audits, enforcing department accounting policies and other ad-hoc projects.
Position Type: Full-Time
 Under the guidance of the Finance & Accounting Manager, Turkey:
  • Responsible for performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting requirements, including, but not limited to, journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of activities and reporting. Specific areas of responsibility include primary ownership of corporate fixed assets accounting process and capital authorization approval process, execution and continuous improvement of monthly COPA assessment process, various judgmental accruals and reserves, as well as assistance with other miscellaneous close activities.
  • Supports other activities and processes such as SOX, external audits and internal audits.
  • Responsible for the corporate fixed assets accounting process.
  • Performs other special projects as needed.
  • Participate accurately and timely in monthly closing activities within certain closing time line.
  • Maintain the day to day accounting responsibilities for PolyOne Turkey: reconciliations, accounts receivable.
  • Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations and invoices are completed .
  • Collaborate with business teams to communicate customer condition and risk.
  • Make risk decisions, within guidelines, on blocked orders.
  • Work with customer service representatives and internal commercial teams to identify process improvement and efficiency opportunities.
  • Follow up fluctuation exchanges rates differences on customer accounts.
  • Perform daily invoicing and follow up e-invoicing process.
  • Recording incoming invoices in the SAP system.
  • Manage customer checks according to due dates.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related.
  • 1-3 years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience in a multinational or manufacturing environment
  • Strong Analytical and Attention to detail and Priority Management skills
  • MS Office, SAP knowledge preferred
  • Languages: Fluent English and Turkish mandatory
