Maintenance Electrical Instrumentation Technician
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree directly related to the position (e.g., Electronics/Electrical, Instrumentation Technology, Engineering, Refrigeration, HVAC, Welding/Metal Fabrication, or other applicable technical degree) PLUS four years industrial maintenance experience in the appropriate disciplines (e.g., Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Electrical, Refrigeration, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing/Pipe Fitting, Welding, Production Machine Maintenance, High Pressure Boilers, Pure Water Systems, Utility Systems, Repair and Overhaul, etc.); OR HS diploma with six years of industrial maintenance experience in appropriate disciplines (e.g., Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Electrical, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Plumbing/Pipe Fitting, Welding, Production Machine Maintenance, High Pressure Boilers, Pure Water Systems, Utility Systems, Repair and Overhaul, etc.)
- Basic computer skills
- Scheduling using a maintenance management system
- Ability to coordinate multiple jobs at one time
- General knowledge of N.C. building codes, engineering specifications, OSHA and safety procedures, NFPA, NEC, etc.
- Working knowledge of a minimum of two area specific maintenance craft skills (Electrical - Instrumentation, Piping - Mechanical, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings (preferred CADD operator experience)
- Ability to develop sketches or field orders from field observations
- Ability to analyze maintenance problems and develop corrective actions in a timely manner
- Ability to work with and lead outside vendors and contractors to perform maintenance task
- Ability to manage small construction projects.
