QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Experience

  • US High School diploma, GED equivalency or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) plus years of maintenance experience in an manufacturing environment
  • Specific trade knowledge and 5 years’ experience in electrical and/or mechanical systems

  • Must possess a high degree of mechanical ability
  • Demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability and initiative.  This includes consistently and accurately determining the correct scope of work necessary to resolve immediate and potential problems as efficiently as possible to the respective operation.
  • Must possess excellent communications skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • The incumbent must be a self-motivated individual who can determine and arrange for the preventive or remedial actions necessary for maintaining the high degree of equipment readiness and efficiency critical for meeting the Company's high quality standards.
  • Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, spatula, barrel cart, hand trucks, fork lift, and computer equipment.
  • Must be able to read, communicate and comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, equipment files, etc. Ability to communicate effectively in writing form through letters and email. Ability to do research in the Internet or company Intranet.
  • Ability to implement, enforce and maintain guidelines set by the Company or management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong organization skills and self-starter motivation. Prioritization skills in alignment with Plant priorities. Continuous Improvement mindset and results oriented.
  • Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.)
  • Must have ability to reason and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Required Certification, Licenses, Registration:

o   None required but electrical certification or license a plus

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
  • stand up to 12hrs per shift
  • use hands to finger up to 12hrs per shift
  • handle and/or feel and reach with hands and arms up to 12hrs per shift
  • required to walk up to 12hrs per shift
  • required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear up to 12hrs per shift
  • required to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs frequently throughout the shift
  • specific vision abilities required include:

·         depth perception

·         ability to adjust focus
