MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education:

  • Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalency. Associates and/or Technical Degree preferred.

     

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English, read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/materials.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

  • Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and apply these skill to weights, measures of volume, speed and distance.

  • Must have ability to reason and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English one-on-one and in small group situations.

  • Computer literacy

 

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • Proven 3 years of general manufacturing maintenance experience.

  • Experience in a pultrusion manufacturing facility or related manufacturing environment is preferred.

     

Required Certification, Licenses, Registration:

  • Requires a Fork Lift, Scissor Lift and Crane Operator's License.

  • Must be able use hands to handle and feel objects, or manipulate controls. Talk, see and hear.

    Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, hand trucks, fork lift, utility knife, and mixer/secondary machinery and computer equipment

  • Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.

  • Work is inside and the typical noise level is loud.

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is frequently exposed to vibration.  The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.

  • The environment is typically dusty and includes many toxic or caustic chemicals.

  • Work environment includes many pieces of hazardous moving equipment .
