QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education, Length & Type of Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Technical School degree or experience equivalency
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in process improvement and problem solving techniques.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in PLC troubleshooting and repair.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in mechanical, maintenance, electrical or industrial operations.
  • Self-motivated with strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Time management skills 
  • Quantitative and statistical skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office products
  • Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instructions in English; read and comprehend safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and product recipes/material identifications. 
  • Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract, multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one and in small group situations.
  • Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a wide variety of small hand tools, scales, hand trucks, fork lift, utility knife, and mixer/secondary machinery and computer equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to rapidly learn the operation and set up of industrial machinery per operating procedures while following all training and plant procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hears.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and use foot/feet to operate machine.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 lbs to 250 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area including safety glasses, safety shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc.

  • Work is inside and the typical noise level is loud.

  • Frequently exposed to vibration.
  • Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
