MANUFACTURING MANAGER

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, chemistry, production or industrial management

• 7 + years of manufacturing operations experience with at least 5 years of experience managing teams

• Background in Lean Six Sigma strongly preferred

• SAP experience preferred

• Knowledge of safety/environmental procedures

Additional Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Plant's manufacturing systems and processes

• Strong leadership skills.

• Knowledge of budgeting, data collection and capital equipment analysis.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required

• Understanding of and ability to apply the APICS body of knowledge

• Must be able to deal effectively with all Plant employees, business unit and corporate management, local civic groups and regulatory agencies

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead change in a manufacturing organization

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Physical Demands

• Requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time, talking and listening

• Must be able to walk and use hands

•  Occasionally requires bending, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs

• May occasionally be required to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds

• Typically work is in a manufacturing environment where noise level is loud

• Generally requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, respiratory protection

• Exposure to outside weather conditions is routine. 

• May be exposed to working in extreme heat and humidity 

• May also be exposed on occasion to dust or fumes.
