Avient Corporation has a position for a Marketing & Communication Specialist as part of the Marketing & Sales team. This position supports our Protective Materials Business unit which was recently acquired from DSM Corporation and is located in Geleen, The Netherlands.

THE CHALLENGE

As the Marketing Communication Specialist in Europe for our MarCom team, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the global brand strategy at a regional level. You will also support the Marketing & Sales organization by localizing communication plans into integrated, segment-specific activations. In this position, you will be supporting key customers and collaborating with global agencies to ensure consistency in brand messaging in line with  our brand guidelines and values. You will report to the Global Business Director of DSM Protective Materials. This is a hybrid-role, based in Europe.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
•    Collaborate with Marketing & Sales organization to understand the various segment needs across different sectors and target audiences. 
•    Implement and monitor marketing communications plans at the regional level; including but not limited to support with: tradeshows, social campaigns, product launches, content creation, channel distribution, performance tracking and optimization and reporting.
•    End-to-end tradeshow coordination for global exhibitions  
•    Develop sales tools to enable customer value selling and differentiate Dyneema® versus incumbent and competitive materials as a premium product brand.
•    Work together closely with Marketing & Sales teams, supporting key customers in joint marketing initiatives, while maintaining brand consistency through trademark licensing agreements
•    Align with various internal functions – including Marketing & Sales, Legal and Corporate Comms – to create compelling marketing content across all platforms and channels based on localized support requirements.   
•    Leverage market insights to continually optimize platform and content performance to determine ROI of MarComm activities.
•    Cooperate with external agency partners and consultants. Create and analyze metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and report back to relevant stakeholders; drive continuous improvement.
•    Remain current in marketing trends and as a subject matter expert for such topics.

THE IDEAL

•    Bachelor's or master’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
•    3-5 years’ experience in a B2B or B2C marketing role 
•    Proven track record in digital marketing communication and/or content development within a global corporation or working with international teams a plus
•    Experience working at or with advertisement agencies a plus.
•    Business fluency in English (written & verbal) required.
•    Superior interpersonal, analytical, communication and networking skills
•    Strong self-starting skills and excellent attention to detail.
•    Knowledge of communication best practices, including digital marketing trends and content development.
•    Experience working in a virtual team environment across regions and time zones.
•    Ability to travel as needed (minimal)
•    Self-motivated and good priority management; ability to see a project through to completion from start to finish. 
•    Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet strict deadlines. 
•    Able to work independently as well as in Teams.
•    Passion for learning
