Job Summary

The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for assisting in developing and ensuring effective execution of the processes within the assigned business unit’s supply chains. This position’s responsibilities are to support all supply chain processes, specifically: vendor management, capacity and production, logistics and schedule data integrity. In addition, managing inventory levels and capacity to meet customer service levels and working capital targets for the business is critical.


Essential Functions

·    Understands, promotes and complies with all applicable regulatory, plant and corporate EHS and related policies and procedures.

·    Fulfills Emergency Response(ER) functions, roles and responsibilities in accordance with site emergency response plan.

·    Checks stock levels and orders all raw materials in an accurate, safe and efficient manner while adhering to all Government Corporate and site regulations, rules and guidelines.

·    Assists as necessary in ensuring that all departmental procedures are accurately maintained.

·    Maintains complete and accurate records of all shipping/receiving activities.

·    Responsible for maintaining cycle count accuracy at or above 95%

·    Knowledge of all aspects of SAP as applicable to department

·    Maintains a high level of housekeeping in warehouse & shipping areas.

·    Backup for Corporate Supply Chain Planner

·    Coordinates logistics for outgoing and incoming deliveries.

·    Manages inventory of finished goods and raw materials.

·    Must have a high level of attention to detail,

·    Acts as focal point for customers with respect to supply and demand issues.

·    Attends all safety, toolbox, and other mandatory meetings.

·    Other duties as assigned.




Education and Experience


·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience

Physical Demands

Requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time, talking and listening. Must be able to walk and use hands. Occasionally requires bending, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs. May occasionally be required to lift, push or pull up to 55 pounds. Typically work is in a manufacturing environment where noise level is loud. Generally requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, and respiratory protection. Exposure to outside weather conditions is routine. May be exposed to working in extreme heat and humidity. May also be exposed on occasion to dust or fumes.
