PROCESS ENGINEER
General Summary:
Responsible for development of new and improved processes for custom polymer compounds
Responsible for process data analysis, and communication of results
Serve as primary contact with manufacturing sites for scale-up of new products
3 years plus hands-on compounding experience with the ability to work independently
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise routine lab scale compounding operations, manpower planning, job assignments of laboratory process technicians
Close collaboration with R&D/color teams, and technical coordinator on scheduling of sample production
Responsible for process improvement and purchase of new process equipment/facilities
Plan for routine and preventive maintenance work (including office maintenance of technology and RHQ offices)
Assist manufacturing sites in problem solving during production scale-up of new products with challenging processing requirements
Keep track of process laboratory’s expendable inventories and make requests for purchases of replacements when necessary
Ensure proper house-keeping of the process laboratory and laboratory warehouse (implementation and maintenance of laboratory 5S)
Perform any other tasks as and when assigned by supervisor
Requirement
College and above education background, major in Polymer Engineering or compounding process.
3+ years in compounding process development and improvement, including hands-on experience in extruding operation.
Experience in Scale up will be a plus.
Good command of English in writing and reading, basic oral English.
Familiar with MS office, like Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
