Procurement Manager
General Summary:
Procurement manager has the responsibilities to manage the procurement activities for all business units and sites in China. This role needs to demonstrate strong leadership (cross-functional, cross-regional, cross-BU communications and influence), lead the team to achieve the defined KPIs (on time delivery, on time payment, DPO, raw materials lead time) and support to control the working capital. One of the responsibilities is to improve efficiency by optimizing the process and utilizing the tools in a smart way. The role needs to build an agile, effective, fast-responded procurement team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Define procurement team KPIs; monitor the KPIs every month
- Effective communicate with the internal stakeholders (sales, finance, supply chain) to improve the procurement performance
- Initiate or support the procurement process efficiency improvement
- Assure material availability at required quality & costs levels
- Solve the supplier related complaints
- Support supplier payments with working capital target
- Support new projects from procurement side
- Strong time management, make sure the deliveries not be delayed
- Team management, including team motivation, proper training plan, career path development and etc.
- Work closely with sourcing team, to ensure the material availability and optimize the cost
- Support system integration and optimization including but not limited to SAP, Coupa and etc.

Physical/Environ. Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (up to 60% of the work day). Must be able to traverse to/from required meetings. Must be able to travel when required. Must be able to input data into a computer. Typically work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
Scope
The position has supervisory responsibilities for procurement assistant managers, senior procurement specialist and procurement specialist.
