Production Supervisor

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED – Required
• Preference for post-secondary education to include time at community or technical college or University
• 5 years’ experience in manufacturing industry with at least 3 years’ experience supervising direct reports

Additional Qualifications

• Must demonstrate aptitude to manage people, set example by own conduct and work habits, make prompt and competent decisions, use authority wisely and maintain discipline, morale and teamwork at high standard.
• Committed to high level of ownership of safety, hygiene, quality and 5S practices
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required; must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization
• Must be able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced, team oriented, ever-changing manufacturing environment
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Prior Lean Manufacturing expereience preferred

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 55 lbs. Specific vision abilities may be required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office noise levels to loud.
