Quality Manager - GEON Performance Solutions

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or Business required.

*  Minimum 5 years as a quality manager in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.  Strong preference for plastics industry experience.

*  Green Belt or Black Belt Certification highly desired.

*  Knowledge of quality tools, practices, systems and corresponding integration preferably ISO requirements.

* Excellent procedure development and writing skills.

*  Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.

*  Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.

*  Ability to mentor and teach the team effective problem solving.

* Experience in applying lean manufacturing concepts.

*  Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.

*  Ability to interpret financial and performance data.

*  Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

*  Vision and ability to translate progressive quality and operating techniques into applications and results.

*  Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

*  Familiar with PPAP, APQP, TS and other customer specific requirements.

*  Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations using statistics.

Physical Demands

* Requires standing and sitting for extended periods of time, talking and listening.

* Must be able to walk and use hands.

* Occasionally requires bending, stooping, climbing ladders and stairs.

* May occasionally be required to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.

* Typically work is in a manufacturing environment where noise level is loud.

* Generally requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, hard hat, and respiratory protection.

* Exposure to outside weather conditions is routine.  May be exposed to working in extreme heat and humidity.  May also be exposed on occasion to dust or fumes.
