R&D Color Technician

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education and Experience

•  High School degree required. Post secondary technical training is a plus (i.e. AA or BS in science, engineering).
• Must have strong color matching experience (minimum of five to seven years of color matching with knowledge of engineering polymer matching.)
• Must be able to function in a team-oriented environment and have good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to complete multiple projects with deadlines.
• Good mechanical skills
• Must be familiar with MS Excel and MS Word software.
• Ability/knowledge of the set-up and operation of basic polymer processing equipment is preferred: Henschel mixer, two roll mills, Buss Compounder, Banbury mixer, injection molding machine, single and twin screw extruders, and Bra bender extruder.
• Good attendance record is required
• Must be able to read and understand MSDS sheets and processing guides for a variety of raw materials
• Must be able to work shifts as the work load changes
• Must be able to work overtime as required

Required Length & Type of Experience:

• Minimum of two to three years in R&D or manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience in engineering thermoplastics and compounding is highly preferred. Additional background with color matching (design) or QC of color is highly preferred.
