Regional EHS Manager, Asia
Job Summary
This is a regional EHS role to lead and coordinate activities associated with supporting Avient EHSS Management System which includes site compliance with all applicable company and local regulatory requirements, Avient EHSS standards and any business specific initiatives.
Main responsibilities of the roles will be audit leader of Asia, responsible for plan, organize, execute and lead audits in this region; acting as EHS learning leader to develop training programs, implement corporate and regional learning programs; supporting company EHS managing tools such as ETQ, resource adviser; and other EHS improvement projects.
The role will be based on Asia Regional Headquarter, Shanghai Pudong JinQiao Site.
Essential Functions
- Plan, organize, execute and lead audits in this region
- Act as EHS learning leader to develop training programs and implement corporate and regional learning programs
- Implement new EHS programs or initiatives
- Serve as a coach for other site EHS Leads for local standards
- Oversee informal and formal auditing at own site and other sites
- Provide post acquisition support - training, resource, guidance
- Conduct post agency visit communication
- Provide mentorship and oversight of EHS Leads at multiple sites
- Provides audit guidance to multiple sights
- Serves as a subject matter expert in related fields (industrial hygiene, ergonomics, risk management, etc.)
- Responsible for the site's EHS Management System and compliance to its requirements
- Oversee and conduct all required regulatory and Avient compliance training
- Conduct new employee EHS training
- Serve as the site contact for internal and external communication, visits, audits related to EHSS matters
- Coordinate evaluation and purchase of safety equipment and supplies
- Responsible for developing site specific procedures that support and meet the Corporate EHSS standards
- Oversee the site security plan and serve as the site contact for agency involvement
- Serve as the site lead for emergency response related activities including involvement in the crisis management protocol
- Serve as the site contact for loss prevention (insurance) activities including audits, managing recommendations, new installations, and claim
- Travel rate as at least 25%

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with 10-15 years EH&S experience in Manufacturing Operations and Chemical Industry
Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHS&S) Requirements
