Job Summary

This position will report to Regional Manufacturing Manager, responsible to plans, directs and coordinates the activities of plant maintenance and engineering (production, warehouse, utility, lab, etc), new plant setup and new green field project in the regions and ensure time line, budget and project scope are met. Planning and manage the capex for the region to ensure all capex projects completed on time and spent within budget. Spare parts cost optimization for the region.

 

Essential Functions

  • Encourage Maintenance team to work safety by providing related safety training and implement contractor safety management for the region.
  • Participates in safety, health, and environmental continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepares budgets and monitors expenses.
  • Plans, coordinates, oversees and review the effectiveness plant preventives maintenance of the region.
  • Provides technical & engineering support & advice for maintenance of the region
  • Manages the Avient Limble project
  • Maintains plant engineering standards and compliance.
  • Drives the cultural changes necessary for the organization.
  • Resolves personnel conflicts and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Develops systems and uses applicable tools to improve understanding of maintenance costs and utility measures relative to overall goals of reliability.
  • Manages engineering stores functions to properly support plant needs, including maintenance material and contracting needs, process material needs, raw material purchasing, and physical inventory.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, or Diploma with min 10 years of relevant experience 

Additional Qualifications

Mechanical Engineering skills, troubleshooting, developing preventive maintenance program, technical drawing using AutoCAD, and PLC

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, dust mask, hard hat, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, chemical suit, gloves, aprons, etc. Work is inside and the typical noise level is loud. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock..
