Job Summary
The Regulatory Specialist operates within the Product Stewardship team who are responsible for managing all regulatory matters for the global business, liaising with all global company locations and customers in Europe, Asia, North America and Latin America. The Regulatory Specialist will support in the development, implementation and maintenance of Regulatory information systems and provide overall support to the Regulatory team. The role is concerned with all aspects of chemical regulatory affairs and global food contact legislation.
Essential Functions
- Understand, apply and stay current with relevant global chemical legislation
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of regulatory information systems including SAP EH&S modules relating to Product Safety, Dangerous Goods etc.
- Collaborate with both internal and external partners, including external service providers to extend support as required and to quality control work
- Draft and optimize product stewardship processes
- Develop and deliver process training to end users, provide ongoing support as required
- Review the impact of legislation changes or changes in the status of raw materials on finished goods compliance, coordinate discussions with relevant parties - propose appropriate actions and collectively agree path forward
- Ensure legally compliant product data and declarations for our customers
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Suitable candidates will have a degree in a scientific discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in regulatory affairs.
- Sound understanding of global chemical legislation including, but not limited to, regulations related to hazard communication, chemical inventories, and food contact
- Experience of working with regulations related to the transport of dangerous goods is preferred but not essential, training will be given
- Experience of working with SAP preferred but not essential, training will be given
- Must be able to respond within a fast paced environment focusing on and prioritizing multiple tasks at any one time
- Strong analytical skills and organizational talent as well as an independent and thoughtful way of working
- Commitment and personal dedication, enjoyment of working in a team
- Fluent in English
