Sales Intern
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shadow experienced account managers.
- Attend customer meetings to learn the importance of building relationships with existing customers and prospecting new customers.
- Identify, research and track sales leads.
- Develop pre-call planning and summary of understandings for account managers.
- Learn and demonstrate an understanding of value-based selling.
- Research, analyze and present findings from high-impact project to business leaders.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and relevant account information in CRM system.
- Foster relationships and navigate internal business environment.
- Position requires travel by car or plane up to 50% of the time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juniors currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Sales, or graduate students with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or Sales.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities on campus or with community organizations.
- Prior customer service or sales related experience preferred.
- Proficient with MS Word & Excel preferred.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Collaborative.
This intern position is a paid internship with assignment to a commercial sales team in one of Avient’s divisions and participants may have the opportunity to join Avient after graduation. This intern position will be based at our Avon Lake, Ohio headquarters.
