Senior Color Designer
Education and Experience
· Bachelors in Color Design, Plastics Engineering, polymer science, chemistry or related Engineering field required.
· Advanced degree or experience a plus
· In lieu of degree, 5+ year’s related experience in Color Design/Matching
· Injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming experience a plus
Additional Qualifications
· Ability to pass a Color Perception test, Munsell FM 100 Hue Test
Technical Competence
· Strong Color Design/Matching skills
· Strong injection molding and/or extrusion processing skills. Knowledge of other processing methods a plus
· Strong mold and part design skills
· Capability to think outside the box and work on cutting edge concepts
· Proficiency with color software and SAP
· Understanding of plastics materials and compounding processes
· Performs work with speed and accuracy.
· Adheres to internal Avient policies and rules. Interprets Technical Data sheets (TDS) / Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and provide proper instruction

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The individual is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The individual will be required to work extensively in a lab standing/walking and will, at times, sit at a desk for extended periods.
