Education/Experience:

At least two years' related experience and/or training, and/or demonstrated ability.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Ability to read in English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions , schematics, P&ID's, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to write in English routine reports and correspondence.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

• Ability to safely operate common power tools, hand tools, and meters.

• Ability to apply understanding of machine systems to maintain and identify improvement possibilities.

• Ability to deal with complex problems involving mechanical apparatuses and machines.

• Ability to use precision measuring tools.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts which also maybe hot. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and moderate to high noise levels. Work may have to be performed in environmental extremes for extended periods. The employee may have to work in confined space and or from heights.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use their hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
