  • Responsible for defining, planning and executing Sourcing projects for all business divisions in PolyOne India to improve the existing business and set the stage for future growth.

  • Network  & collaborate with regional/global sourcing team & update India organization about the key updates from time to time.

  • Responsible to identify & develop potential Indian suppliers & collaborate with team in other countries to explore opportunities to source from Indian suppliers.

  • Responsible to identify & develop Indian suppliers to explore opportunities for cost saving, improved quality & developing alternate option to use when needed.

  • Coordinate with supplier & regulatory team to ensure compliance of all regulatory documents in line with the changes imposed from time to time.

  • Support working capital improvement actions by engaging with suppliers for supplies with lesser lead time, while extending the payment terms to best possible.

  • Responsible for creating the project schedules, assigning key tasks, and partnering with/recruit cross functional teams to execute the tasks. Lead regular cross-functional team update meetings to ensure

  • projects stay on track.

  • Facilitate supplier selection and negotiate contracts for key PolyOne and business-unit initiatives.

  • Responsible for leading, developing, implementing and enforcing supplier performance metrics.

  • Responsible for the documentation and administration of all supplier contracts for India, confidentiality agreements, license agreements and  all electronic documents required to facilitate smooth supply chain

  • execution.

  • Work with supplier base to continually identify process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.

  • Integrate strategic procurement activities with business unit representatives where required.

  • Report category activities & major price/availability information across all raw materials used in India to organization on a regular basis.

  • Manage overall supplier relationships, including measurement of performance to specifications, negotiations, contracting and process improvement.

  • Provide analytical and process improvement support to corporate sourcing group up to and including data analysis, internal reporting and overall process improvement recommendations.

  • Build and develop direct reporting capabilities.

  • May supervise Sourcing Manager, Specialists/Coordinators.

  • Lead and develop team.

  • Other projects/responsibilities as assigned.

  • Objective setting, measurement, reporting and process improvement in all areas of responsibility.

  • Support entire corporate sourcing function in process and performance management activities.

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Chemical industry (Relevant to Plastic / Masterbatch / Additives)

  • Can be from MNC/Indian company. Preference for background in plastics industry and especially masterbatch

  •  BSc Mandatory / Masters preferred with Chemistry background. Please don’t rule out a candidate if they have a ‘technical’ degree (eg Engineering) as this is also acceptable

  • Experienced in chemicals procurement – ideally in relevant industries (masterbatch raw materials)

  • Driven, self-motivated – we need this person to be able to act autonomously and to execute with urgency. Due to matrix org structure, we cannot hire a person that requires close management of day to day activities

  • Sound business/financial knowledge – this person needs to be a leader within our business and able to communicate across functions locally and internationally

  • Ideally the candidate should be from Plastics, chemicals, intermediates industry.
