GENERAL SUMMARY

 

This senior level position supports Plant Manufacturing and Technical Operations while maintaining a strong focus on continuous Process Improvement and Optimization. Applies fundamental knowledge of advanced principles, theories and concepts of industry standards and practices to design, automate, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develops, designs, and communicates manufacturing processes.

* Monitors and revises processes to help generate unit conversion cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process.

* Initiates design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products.

* Responsible for the activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision making tools.

* Identifies and solves issues or problems with equipment/process. Troubleshoots possible causes and coordinates the activities of maintenance, quality, production and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions.

* Material efficiency improvement through NWSW/SFG handling and reduction, wastage decrease, yield rate continuous improvement.

* Plant window person for NPI (new product introduction) and NMI (new RM introduction) between R&D/PM.

* Involve in quality issue and customer complaint investigation and resolution from process side.

* Provides team leadership and direction of new process installation and process changes.

* LSS project initiate and follow up.

* Other projects/duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Certifications

 

 

  • Bachelor degree or above, major in chemistry related field.
  • LSS GB/BB certificate will be ideal.

  • Sound English skill, both in oral and written

Experience

  • 10+ years relevant experience in plastics industry
  • 5+ years experience in process field
  • SAP experience would be a plus
