Skills and Experience Required:

PhD or MS in chemistry, chemical/ polymer engineering or other related field and 15 years of related, progressively responsible experience. Requires expert knowledge of the polymer industry.

Possess working knowledge in PVC formulations and processing.

Has managed a team of technical professionals for a minimum of 10 years

A technical teacher/ mentor who can create effective rapport within the team and across functions and business units.

Proficient practitioner of Design of Experiment and statistical tools

Developed and implemented technology strategies in line with business/ segment strategies, collaborating closely with other functions like Marketing

Lead improvement of technology processes using Lean Six Sigma tools

Proven track record of gaining new business in new markets via new application development and/ or new technologies

Experienced project manager for stage gated development projects

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to project a strong and confident professional image.

A thought leader with the ability to influence cross functional teams to successful project completion.

Has a track record of developing and mentoring subordinates to be successful, and fosters a climate that is demanding but recognizes achievement
