Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer
Education
and Experience
- Bachelor
of Science in Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science is required.
- Understanding of extrusion processes is required. Within the first several months of hiring, the candidate must become familiar with Fiber-Line product nomenclature, specification system, and of all the documentation pertaining to everyday production i.e., Sales Order processing, SOPs, Customer Requirement Specifications, and other systems related to the position.
- Process troubleshooting and documentation specialist
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Supervisory/management skills required
- Strong foundation in ASTM standardized testing methods and ISO9000 Quality Systems
- Timely and accurate completion of projects and assignments
- Excellent understanding of Engineering as it applies to process and product development.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Able to use computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software at a basic level.
- Strong familiarity with extrusion processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrate a high degree of problem solving ability and initiative.
- Strong degree of creativity
- Strong team player when collaborating with internal and external team members.
- Experience in synthetic fibers or cable desired.
- Ability to travel, as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
· The
position must be able to effectively explain technical process and product
development information to different levels within the company. This requires effective oral and written
communication skills. The entire shift,
as well as the cell leads, must comfortably rely on this position as a source
of assistance, training, and as needed, troubleshooting. Shift personnel must readily view this
position as one that will make them better performers.
Physical Demands

While
performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand;
use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The
employee is frequently required to walk. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel,
crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift
and/or move up to 55 lbs.

While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to
moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and fumes or airborne
particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office
noise levels to loud.
