Technical Analyst, Oracle HCM (Technical Analyst, HRIS)
Job Summary
The Oracle HCM Technical Analyst is responsible for providing solutions and resolving issues related to the data and processes within Avient Corporation’s Oracle Cloud HCM global system. This role supports the HR department and focuses on the system's technical aspects. It is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in problem-solving, design, development, data analysis, and complex data integrations within the Oracle HCM modules. By creating and maintaining high-quality global data processes and capabilities, the Oracle HCM Technical Analyst is crucial in ensuring our workforce becomes a competitive advantage for Avient. This position encompasses an international scope.
Essential Functions
- Perform technical tasks, including creating BI Publisher Reports, managing integrations, developing approval workflows, writing fast formulas, setting up value sets, and extracting HCM data.
- Conduct and assist in coordinating HR systems testing related to implementations, modifications, upgrades, updates, and fixes.
- Determine project requirements and provide technical guidance to team members as needed.
- Support and troubleshoot critical issues, analyze root causes, and recommend enhancements.
- Monitor the information needs of the Human Resources department in support of administration and projects.
- Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of conversions, modifications/customisations, and interfaces to and from Oracle HCM.
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned or required.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources Information Systems or relevant work experience is preferred (internship experience is acceptable).
- Knowledge of the Oracle Fusion HCM Application Modules, including Global HR, Talent, Compensation, Payroll, Absence Management, and Time & Labour.
- Proficient experience with HCM Extracts, OTBI/BI Publisher, and SQL.
- Demonstrated experience in developing Fast Formulas, Value Sets, HCM Data Loader, and personalization using VB Studio.
- In lieu of the required years of experience, a successful candidate in this role will exhibit a strong desire for knowledge discovery and a willingness to learn.
