We are currently looking to extend our European team with an:
ACCOUNT PAYABLE SPECIALIST
You will be working with the EMEA Finance team, and you are responsible for the AP mainly in France and Luxembourg.
WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED
- Process goods and services invoices (part of the pool for several countries – Principal structure, own processing invoices for France and Luxembourg).
- Working with purchasing tools.
- GR/IR maintenance, able to do accounts reconciliations and analysis.
- Identify areas for improvement, lead implementing corrective actions and solutions, focus on root cause of the problem, eliminate non-value-added steps.
- In future – being able to analyze spend vs. budget for some functions/events/projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Ideally 3 years of experience in accounting department and/or AP.
- Accounting knowledge.
- Basic VAT knowledge.
- Knowledge of modern AP processing tools and scanning systems.
- SAP knowledge is a strong asset.
- English written and verbal communication and in addition French written and verbal communication is an advantage.
- Hands on and pragmatic.
- Must like challenges and enjoy changes (new projects and programs).
- Quick learner, critical thinker.
- Ready to communicate openly and directly, comfortable with challenging the status quo, challenging, and following up with other departments.
- Honesty and integrity.
- Attention to details.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Keeping professional knowledge up to date.
- Self-starter, able to work independently without too much supervision within own area of expertise.
